Parent Conferences

Thank you to all the parents who came out for parent conferences! It has been great to get to meet with all of you and get to discuss your student’s progress. I am looking forward to a great ending to this school year!

Reader's Theater

Our reading story this week is a reader's theater. Students enjoyed getting into groups and practicing reading the parts of "Backstage with Chris and Casey."

2nd Nine Weeks Awards Ceremony

Last week, we had the honor of recognizing some of our students for their hard work.  We had an awards ceremony for 2^nd nine weeks students who earned All A’s or All A’s & B’s.  Congratulations to these students on all of their hard work! Keep up the good work!!

Scholastic Book Order

I sent home some Scholastic book orders on Tuesday. If you would like to purchase a book (or more) for your child, you may send a check to the school (payable to Scholastic) or order online.  There are books for as low as $1 and most are AR books.  To order online click here and our class code is H2WQK.

Please have your orders and money turned in by Tuesday, February 12.

Renaissance Home Connect

As you all know, we use a program at school called Renaissance Place.  We use this program for AR, STAR testing, and Math Facts in a Flash.  This program now has a feature called Renaissance Home Connect, which you can access outside of school with any computer that has internet connection. It is fun and easy to use.  It allows you to access information about your child’s progress in Accelerated Reader. It even has a feature where you can receive emails showing your student’s quiz or test results. 

To try Renaissance Home Connect click this link and use the username and password your child was given last week.  (This maybe different from his/her username and password at school.)

100th Day of School

Happy 100^th Day of School!!

Can you believe we have been in third grade for 100 days?? We only have 73 days left in third grade! Wow! This year really is going by fast!!

We celebrated being 100 days smarter by writing about what we think we will be like when we are 100 years old.  Then we made pictures of what we think we will look like when we are 100 years old.
