Christmas Letter

Dear Parents,

Our class will be having Christmas lunch on Thursday, December 12, 2013.  We will be dining from 11:40-12:25.  We would like to invite you to eat with us.  Parent trays will be $5.00.  Feel free to meet us in the lunchroom that day.

Our class Christmas party will be on Thursday, December 19, 2013.  Please allow your child to bring a treat to share with their classmates (BOYS bring salty, GIRLS bring sweet!)  I will provide drinks and paper products.  There are 19 students in our class.

If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to ask.

• ·        Field Trip to River Center is Thursday, March 21. (You must wear your GREEN PCES shirt to go on this trip.)
• ·        Thursday, March 21 is PTO Awards Night.  3^rd grade is at 6p.m.
• ·        Friday, March 22 is the Spring Fling. (Wrist bands are $5 to go.  Tickets for food and other things are $0.50 a piece.)
• ·        SPRING BREAK is March 23- March 31!! 

Read Across America

Last week, we celebrate Dr. Seuss’s birthday.  All week we read some of our favorite Dr. Seuss books.  We were all a fan of The Lorax and Hop on Pop.  We even watch The Lorax movie and discussed the importance of taking care of our Earth.  We began a writing project for the Lorax (more on that to come later!).  We ended the week by having a day filled with fun, learning, and even snacks. 

We had visitors from the high school who read to us, played games with us, and drew cat whiskers on our faces.
