Thursday, Oct. 23- Put a Cap on Drugs. (Wear a hat)

Friday, Oct. 24- “Sock it to Drugs” (Wear silly Socks )


Monday, Oct.27- “Team up Against Drugs” (Wear your favorite jersey or team shirt)

Tuesday, Oct. 28- “United We Stand for a Drug Free America” (Wear red, white, and blue)

Wednesday, Oct. 29- “Drugs are Tacky” (wear tacky attire)

Thursday- Oct. 30- “I’m A Jean-ius!” (Wear jeans)


Friday, Oct. 31- “Drugs are scary” (Dress in a costume) *NO Scary costumes or mask!

October is a very busy month.  Here is a list of some of the things we have going on this month.

Friday, October 3- Multiplication Test (0’s-5’s)
Friday, October 3- Unit 2 Week 2 Reading/Spelling Assessment
Tuesday, October 7- Scholastic Book Orders Due
Tuesday, October 7- Science: Simple Machines Quiz
Tuesday, October 7- Social Studies: Ch. 7 Test
Wednesday, October 8- Last Day of First Nine Weeks
Monday, October 12- FALL BREAK
Tuesday, October 14- FALL BREAK
Thursday, October 16- Science: Ch. 15 Simple Machines Test
Thursday, October 16- First Nine Weeks Report Cards
Thursday, October 16- Book Fair Begins (Book Fair ends October 28.)
Monday, October 20- Parent’s Visitation Tea (9 a.m. in the Cafeteria)
Wednesday, October 22- First Nine Weeks Awards Ceremony
 (8:30 in the Cafeteria)
Thursday, October 23- Friday, October 31- Red Ribbon Week

Friday, Oct.25- “Team up Against Drugs” (Wear your favorite jersey or team shirt)

Monday, Oct. 28- “Give Drugs the Slip” (Wear bedroom shoes/slippers)

Tuesday, Oct. 29- “Drugs Can’t find Us” (wear camouflage clothing)

Wednesday- Oct. 30- “Lei off Drugs!” (Buy a Lei at school to wear)

Thursday, Oct. 31- “Drugs are not in our Future” (Dress like what you want to be when you grow up) (NO COSTUMES)

**We will be collecting canned food items donate to the Valley Rescue Mission.

Last Week

We were extremely busy last week! We had the end of first nine weeks, Red Ribbon Week, Blow Up Slide at PE, Parenting day, and Movies as rewards for honor roll and AR; not to mention all of our classroom. The kids enjoyed all of the fun activities.  Here is a look at some pictures from our busy but FUN week!

Red Ribbon Week!

Red Ribbon Week

Next week is Red Ribbon Week. Below are the activities that we will have for our students to participate in.

Monday, Oct. 22- I’m a “jeanious”.  I am drug-free. (Students wear jeans.)
Tuesday, Oct. 23- “Sock it to drugs.” (Students wear silly socks.)
Wednesday, Oct. 24- “Get T’ed off about drugs.” (Students wear your favorite t-shirt.)
Thursday, Oct. 25- “Put a cap on drugs.” (Students wear a hat.)
Friday, Oct. 26- “Lei off drugs.” (Students can buy a lei at school to wear.)

We will also learn the story behind the Red Ribbon symbol, take the drug free pledge, and participate in a classroom poster decorating contest.

**Also there will be an inflatable Slide at PE on Thursday, October 25th.  The cost of the slide is $2.**
