Atlanta Field Trip

The third grade field trip to Atlanta was amazing!  We started the day by visited the King Center.  We saw Dr. King’s home, as well as Ebenezer Baptist Church.  Then we enjoyed a picnic lunch in the park. Then we visited the Georgia Aquarium and saw lots of marine life! IT was a great day!!

 

Field Trip

 Third Grade is planning our yearly trip to Atlanta on Friday, May 8, 2015.  This year we plan to the King Center and the Georgia Aquarium.

The estimated cost (including transportation and admission) is $50 per student.  This cost is $55 per parent.

We realize this sounds expensive.  That is why we will provide the opportunity to pay as you can.  ALL money MUST be turned in no later than April 10, 2015.

This is an invaluable opportunity to help enhance and expand your child’s knowledge in areas of Science and Social Studies.

Aquarium Field Trip

Dear Parents,

Third grade is planning our yearly trip to Atlanta.  We have tentatively set the date for Friday, May 16, 2014.

This year, we are planning on going to the Georgia Aquarium at Pemberton Place in Atlanta.  The Georgia Aquarium opened in November 2005 as the World’s Largest Aquarium.  With 8 million gallons of fresh and marine water, and more than 100,000 animals representing 500 species from around the globe, we’re sure to see things we’ve never seen before!

We estimate the cost (admission/transportation) to be $45 per student.

We realize that sounds expensive.  This is why we will provide the opportunity for you to pay as you can, provided that ALL money MUST be turned in no later than April 11, 2014.

In order to reserve our place at the Aquarium on May 16 we need to know if you plan on allowing your child to attend.  Parents are welcome to attend.  The cost for parents is $55 (including transportation/admission).  It is also due by April 11.

Please let us know by Friday, February 14 if your student (and you) plans to attend.

Providence Canyon Field Trip

Just a reminder we will being going on our field trip to Providence Canyon tomorrow.  This is only for those students who scored proficient on our DIBELS testing last week.  In order to go, your student MUST wear his/her GREEEN PCES field trip shirt.  They may also wish to bring a backpack, towel, bottle of water, snack, extra shoes, and sack to hold dirty shoes after the hike.  He/she will probably want to wear old tennis shoes because they may get muddy.

Don't forget...

All money for our field trip to the Atlanta Aquarium is due tomorrow morning, Wednesday, April 10.  The cost of the trip is $45.  The trip will be Friday, May 10.

Field Trip

We had a great time today on our field trip! We went to the River Center to see “Seussical The Musical.”

• ·        Friday, March 22 is the Spring Fling. (Wrist bands are $5 to go.  Tickets for food and other things are $0.50 a piece.)
