Providence Canyon Field Trip

Just a reminder we will being going on our field trip to Providence Canyon tomorrow.  This is only for those students who scored proficient on our DIBELS testing last week.  In order to go, your student MUST wear his/her GREEEN PCES field trip shirt.  They may also wish to bring a backpack, towel, bottle of water, snack, extra shoes, and sack to hold dirty shoes after the hike.  He/she will probably want to wear old tennis shoes because they may get muddy.

Natural Disasters Unit

Today in Social Studies, we concluded our unit on Natural Disasters by making tornadoes in a bottle.  In this unit we learned about tornadoes, earthquakes, volcanoes, avalanches, tsunamis, hurricanes, and blizzards.  Students learned about what each disaster was, how they occur, and what to do if they ever find themselves in the middle of one.

All money for our field trip to the Atlanta Aquarium is due tomorrow morning, Wednesday, April 10.  The cost of the trip is $45.  The trip will be Friday, May 10.

I hope you all had a wonderful Spring Break.  We are only eight weeks away from the end of the school year!  It will be a busy and fun time.  Here are some of the things we have coming up in April!

Monday, April 1:  Report Cards

Tuesday, April 2: Spring Fling ($5 for wristbands.  Food and crafts will also be on sale.)

Wednesday, April 10: All money is due for the Aquarium Field Trip. ($45).

April 22-27: DIBELS Testing (3^rd Grade’s goal is 110 words in a minute.)
