Wednesday, Oct. 23- Put a Cap on Drugs. (Wear a hat)

Thursday, Oct. 24- “Drugs are Tacky!” (Dress Tacky)

Friday, Oct.25- “Team up Against Drugs” (Wear your favorite jersey or team shirt)

Monday, Oct. 28- “Give Drugs the Slip” (Wear bedroom shoes/slippers)

Tuesday, Oct. 29- “Drugs Can’t find Us” (wear camouflage clothing)

Wednesday- Oct. 30- “Lei off Drugs!” (Buy a Lei at school to wear)

Thursday, Oct. 31- “Drugs are not in our Future” (Dress like what you want to be when you grow up) (NO COSTUMES)

**We will be collecting canned food items donate to the Valley Rescue Mission.

2013 Book Fair



Our school book fair begins tomorrow.  It will run from October 18 to October 29.  Our class day to shop will be on Friday, October 18.  However, students are allowed to shop any day during open library time. The book fair will also be open during PTO on Tuesday, October 29. The book fair is a great place to stock up on Accelerated Reader books. 

You are welcome to come by, look, and shop with your child.

Corn Roasting

Today was our annual corn roasting day!  Teachers and students get the chance to try a roasted ear of corn dipped in butter.  I think everyone enjoyed it!

Each student who wishes to earn bonus points will need to create a poster for the theme “Alabama Agriculture: Growing For you and Me.” Please use the attached sheets as a guide.  Students must follow ALL rules on the attached sheet. 

*This assignment is optional and will need to be completed at home; however, the student may earn up to 15 bonus points in Social Studies depending on neatness, accuracy, and creativity!
