Last Day

Wow! We made it to the last day of school! This year has defiantly been one to remember.  You all have become better readers, writers, thinkers, and problem solvers.  You have learned so much, from multiplication facts to all about our solar system.  What a wonder year it has been.

This class has been so very special to me! You all hold a very special place in my heart and I will always remember each of you.  We were all part of a family and we will continue to be.  So many friendships were made this year. You truly are a special group of boys and girls. You have all worked so hard this year and learned so much!

Parents, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your child’s education.  Thank you all for all of your hard work this year!  Thank you for all of your help with homework, reading logs, parties, field trips, and much more.  We could not of done it all without you.

Students, continue to read, write, and study multiplication facts this summer.  Also, be sure to have lots of fun, spend time together, and enjoy your summer!

Don’t forget to come back and visit me.  I’m always here for you, if there is ever anything I can do.  Please don’t hesitate to let me know.

PCElympics Closing Ceremony

We had a blast at the PCElympis closing ceremony. Dancing, food, water, slides, fun, and so much more. Thanks to our wonderful PCES coaches for putting on an awesome day. We all had a great time!! 

Aquarium Field Trip

We had a great time on our field trip tothe  Georgia Aquarium yesterday.  

Play at CHS

We had a great time today at CHS. We really enjoyed the play out on by their drama department. 

PCElympics: Dress the Teacher

Today's PCElympics game was Dress the Teacher. Each class ran a relay to dress their teacher in a variety of stuff. I'm proud to say my class won the "gold shoe!" Yay!! We all had a great time. 

PCElympics Opening Ceremony

The PCElympics are under way here at PCES. We had a wonderful opening ceremony today. It was full of music, floats, banners, and lots of fun. We all look forward to a week full of games and our closing ceremony on Friday.

Mother's Day

Happy Mother’s Day to all of our wonderful mothers!

PCElympics is Coming!

Next week is the 3^rd Annual PCElympics. This is a weeklong event that students look forward to all year. PCElympics will begin Monday with our opening ceremony.  Each class will have a banner in the parade through the school.  All week, our class will be involved in class competitions during PE.  We will be competing for the “Golden Shoe” in relays, tug-of-war, and many other activities.  The closing ceremony will be Friday, May 17.  We will have water slides, slip slides, sprinklers, and much more. We will also be selling snacks for $1 each.  This year there will also be a dunking booth. For $0.25 a throw, your child can have the chance to dunk a teacher or coach!

Instead of selling field day shirts this year, our coaches are asking students to wear certain colors of the Olympic Rings each day.

Monday, May 13- RED Shirt

Tuesday, May 14- YELLOW Shirt

Wednesday, May 15- BLUE Shirt

Thursday, May 16- BLACK Shirt

Friday, May 17- GREEN Shirt

As always, you are welcome to watch your child participate in these fun activities.  Our PE time is 1p.m. each day.  3^rd, 4th, & 5^th grades closing ceremony will be from 12:30-2:30 on May 17.

Testing is Complete!

We have finished our state testing! I am so very proud of all of my students and their hard work this week!

ARMT Testing

Tomorrow we will begin our state ARMT testing.  Our class has been preparing for these tests all year.  Please encourage your student to do his/her best on all parts of the test. 

Here are just a few things for you to remember:

·         The school doors will close and be locked each day from 8:30-12. If your child is late, they will not be admitted until after 12.

·         If your child is late or absent and misses a test, the y will have to make it up.  So please try to have them here and on time every day.

·         The school will be testing from May 6-May 13.  Our Class will be testing from May 7- May 10.

·         Please make sure your student gets plenty of rest before the test and encourage them to do their best!!

·        Our testing schedule is

o    Tuesday, May 7: ARMT+: Reading (Part 1)

o   Wednesday, May 8: ARMT+: Reading (Part 2)

o   Thursday, May 9: ARMT+: Math (Part 1)

o   Friday, May 10: ARMT+: Math (Part 2)
